Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Datacenter Network Engineer for a 1-year contract at Technology Park Bukit Jalil. You will own end-to-end L2 network operations, including incident, problem and change management, onsite during normal hours.

You will act as the primary escalation point for major outages, drive SLA/KPI adherence, and lead RCA and preventive actions. Collaboration across L1/L3, vendors, and cross-functional teams is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience as Network Engineer.
• ITIL knowledge; foundation cert is a plus.
• Experience with infra monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
• Open to working onsite at Technology Park Bukit Jalil.

Job description

The Datacenter Network Engineer role involves owning end-to-end L2 network operations including incident, problem and change management. You will act as a primary escalation point for major incidents and critical outages, ensuring SLA/KPI adherence and driving service improvements. This is a 1-year contract position based at Technology Park Bukit Jalil, working fully onsite during normal hours.

Key responsibilities

Own end-to-end L2 network operations (incident, problem & change management)

Act as primary escalation points for major incidents and critical outages

Ensure SLA / KPI adherence and drive service improvements

Lead daily operations calls, reviews, and reporting governance

Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions for key outages

Coordinate with L1, L3, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Manage team workload, prioritization, and task allocation

Ensure process compliance (ITIL) and audit readiness

Drive automation, documentation, and knowledge management

Provide expert support for routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, etc.)

About you

Minimum 4 years experience as Network Engineer

Extensive hands on experience in firewall, Cisco ACI, load balancer, Aruba, Palo Alto

Must be open to work in office

ITIL process knowledge and foundation certified (good to have)

Experience and good knowledge with infra monitoring tools (SolarWinds, etc.) (good to have)

Automation exposure and transformation mindset and adoptability for any automation initiatives (good to have)

Strong stakeholder communication in business language (good to have)

Documentation & reporting discipline (good to have)
