QUETTA BYTE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Data Centre-Modeling Delivery Specialist/Manager to lead end-to-end on-site delivery of overseas IDC projects.
You will build and manage a delivery team, establish standardized workflows and act as the main liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires hands-on project experience in IDC, cloud infrastructure, and IT deployments, plus strong bilingual communication in Chinese and English.
1. Responsible for end‑to‑end on‑site delivery management of the company’s overseas cluster IDC projects. Oversee key phases including data centre deployment, equipment racking, network commissioning and system acceptance, to ensure on‑time and high‑quality project delivery.
2. Build and manage the overseas delivery team from scratch. Formulate talent pipeline development plans, define role responsibilities and collaboration mechanisms, and continuously improve the team’s professional competence and execution capability.
3. Establish a comprehensive delivery system covering standardized workflows, operating specifications, quality control and risk‑emergency response mechanisms. Drive continuous iteration and optimisation to enforce implementation of operational rules.
4. Act as the primary delivery liaison. Collaborate closely with internal product‑R&D, operation‑maintenance and supply‑chain teams, as well as overseas clients and partners. Accurately align requirements, resolve complex delivery issues efficiently and secure delivery target achievement.
5. Be prepared for frequent global business travel. Adapt to time‑zone, cultural and compliance differences across countries and regions. Provide on‑site supervision and coordinate local resources to ensure stable project progression.
Requirements:
1. Diploma or above in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical Automation or other related science & engineering disciplines is preferred.
2. Hands‑on project experience in IDC, cloud computing, IT infrastructure or low‑voltage engineering. Practical delivery skills, on‑site troubleshooting & coordination capabilities, and quick‑learning aptitude are highly valued.
3. Basic knowledge of IDC data centre infrastructure (power supply & distribution, cooling, structured cabling, etc.) or installation and commissioning procedures for mainstream server and network devices.
4. Basic project management awareness; proficient in common office and collaboration tools for progress tracking and reporting.
5. Prior overseas on‑site project support experience or cross‑border team collaboration experience is preferred.
6. Bilingual working proficiency in Chinese and English (fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing), for liaising with teams and clients from China and US.
7. Strong sense of responsibility and resilience under pressure. Able to adapt flexibly to complex on‑site scenarios, with good cross‑cultural communication awareness and customer‑service mindset.
8. Willing to undertake global business travel totalling over 6 months per year, covering Asia‑Pacific, Europe, Americas and other regions, and able to respond to urgent travel assignments.
9. Bonus points: Possess data‑centre‑related certifications (e.g. CDCP, ATD) or PMP / Prince2 credentials; prior working experience collaborating with IDC service providers in Southeast Asia.
