Private Advertiser seeks a Data Center O&M Project Manager to lead the operation of a large IDC, overseeing electrical and HVAC teams and establishing a 24/7 support system for reliable power and cooling.
You will drive preventive maintenance plans, manage budgets, oversee vendors, and improve SOPs and EOPs while coordinating with clients and site owners. Mandarin communication is a plus.
Lead and manage the overall operations and maintenance (O&M) of the data center's critical infrastructure, overseeing electrical and HVAC maintenance teams while establishing and maintaining a 24/7 operations support system to ensure the reliable operation of power and cooling systems.
Take charge of emergency response and incident management for critical infrastructure events, including power outages, high-temperature alarms, water leaks, and other major failures. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Develop annual preventive maintenance plans and O&M budgets, manage outsourced maintenance service providers, monitor service quality, control operational costs, and oversee spare parts inventory.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve O&M policies, standard operating procedures (SOP), maintenance procedures (MOP), emergency operating procedures (EOP), and emergency response plans. Organize routine inspections, emergency drills, and technical training for the operations team.
Act as the primary liaison with clients and facility owners, prepare and submit regular operational reports, and coordinate on-site operational requirements and service requests.
Participate in data center infrastructure upgrades, expansion projects, and site acceptance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of operations and maintenance experience in a large-scale data center (IDC), including at least 2 years of team management experience.
Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred as the role requires regular communication and coordination with China-based clients and business partners.
Strong knowledge of high- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, UPS, diesel generators, chilled water plants, HVAC systems, precision air conditioning (PAC), Building Management Systems (BMS), and data center environmental monitoring systems.
Proven experience in incident management, risk assessment, cost control, and contractor management, with a solid understanding of Data Center Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Professional certifications related to electrical, HVAC, or facilities management will be an added advantage.
Willingness to provide on-site support and respond to emergency situations outside normal working hours when required.
