Job summary

LONGMOTIVE (M) SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre MEP Business Development Manager to drive BD and pre-sales for data centre MEP solutions, focusing on mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

You will build relationships with data centre owners, developers, consultants and EPC contractors, develop a strong project pipeline, and provide technical and commercial proposals, cost estimates and tender submissions. Travel to client sites will be required as part of business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in BD, pre-sales, technical or project sales.
• Experience in data centre, critical infra, HVAC, chiller, cooling or electrical infra preferred.
• Strong technical presentation and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel for projects and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities within data centre and critical infrastructure.
• Build and maintain relationships with data centre owners, developers, consultants, EPC/main contractors and MEP contractors.
• Develop project pipeline from design through tender and award.
• Understand customer requirements and propose MEP solutions.
• Conduct client meetings, technical presentations and solution discussions.
• Support commercial negotiations and project conversions.
• Provide technical pre-sales support and prepare proposals, cost estimates and tenders.
• Evaluate equipment configurations based on capacity, efficiency, redundancy and project needs.
• Monitor market trends and identify long-term partnership opportunities.
