Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support live data center operations, hardware maintenance, and on-site tasks. You will perform health checks, rack management, component replacements, cabling, and basic Linux/Windows Server tasks, working with ServiceNow, Jira, and Remedy.

Ideal candidates have data center or hardware experience, strong server/network knowledge, and excellent communication to coordinate with vendors and teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center or hardware support experience.
• Strong server hardware and network fundamentals.
• Comfortable in high-availability environments.
• Clear communicator coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily health checks and incident support.
• Handle server installation, rack/stack, de-rack and break/fix.
• Replace HDD/SSD, RAM, PSU, NIC, motherboard.
• Install and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls.
• Execute structured cabling and patching.
• Conduct diagnostics, log collection, and pre-vendor triage.
• Support Linux/Windows Server tasks.
• Provide Remote Hands / Smart Hands for engineers.
• Manage inventory, spare parts, asset tagging.
• Coordinate power, environmental checks with facility teams.
• Work through ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy for tickets and incidents.
• (Preferred) VMware/Hyper-V: VM provisioning and basic troubleshooting.
