Job summary

Bytebridge Technology Pte. Ltd. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Data Center Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement for data center projects.

You will source suppliers, negotiate pricing, issue POs and track orders to meet project timelines. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical data center components, strong supplier management, and fluency in English and Mandarin for regional coordination.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in data center, MEP/MEP, construction, infrastructure or engineering procurement.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and data center infrastructure materials.
• Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation and cost-control skills.
• Able to manage multiple suppliers and project requirements simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage full procurement cycle: requisition review, sourcing, RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO issuance and order tracking.
• Source data center project materials: electrical materials, cabinet/rack accessories, cooling system components, construction materials and installation supplies.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify local and overseas suppliers.
• Assess suppliers based on pricing, capability, quality, delivery performance and after-sales support.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and other commercial terms.
• Work with Project Managers, Construction and Logistics teams to meet material requirements and timelines.
• Monitor production and shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery to site.
• Resolve delivery delays, shortages and supplier quality issues.
• Maintain procurement records, POs, delivery documents and supplier information.
• Provide regular updates on procurement progress and outstanding items.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement for data center projects in Malaysia. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing purchase orders, and ensuring data center equipment, M&E materials and construction supplies are delivered on time to support project schedules.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full procurement cycle, including requisition review, sourcing, RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO issuance and order tracking.

Source data center project materials, including electrical materials, cabinet/rack accessories, cooling system components, construction materials and installation supplies.

Identify, evaluate and qualify local and overseas suppliers.

Assess suppliers based on pricing, capability, quality, delivery performance and after-sales support.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and other commercial terms.

Work closely with Project Managers, Construction and Logistics teams to meet project material requirements and timelines.

Monitor production and shipment schedules and ensure materials are delivered to site on time.

Resolve delivery delays, material shortages and supplier quality issues.

Maintain procurement records, POs, delivery documents and supplier information.

Provide regular updates on procurement progress, delivery risks and outstanding items.

About you

5–8 years of procurement experience.

Experience in data center, M&E/MEP, construction, infrastructure or engineering procurement is required.

Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical and/or data center infrastructure materials.

Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation and cost-control skills.

Able to manage multiple suppliers and project requirements simultaneously.

Familiar with the Malaysian supplier market and procurement processes.

Experience with logistics and import procedures is an advantage.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, spoken and written, for communication with regional and Chinese-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.

Procurement experience in hyperscale data centers, data center construction, M&E/MEP projects, electrical infrastructure, cooling/HVAC systems or modular data centers will be highly preferred.
