Job summary

Advange Group in Malaysia is seeking an IT Operations / Infrastructure Support engineer (entry to mid level) to ensure reliability of enterprise IT infrastructure across data center and customer environments.

You will perform hands-on tasks, monitor infrastructure, coordinate with vendors, manage incidents, and contribute to operational documentation. Shift-based work and on-site premises are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s qualification in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.
• Early-career experience (approximately 1–2 years) in infrastructure support, systems operations, or technical services.
• Interest in enterprise infrastructure, data center operations, and large-scale IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Observe and analyze infrastructure performance, identifying irregular system behavior and triggering escalation when needed.
• Deliver first-line and second-line technical assistance for compute, network, and connectivity issues across CPU and GPU systems.
• Execute physical infrastructure tasks including rack-and-stack, component swaps, device decommissioning, and cabling work.
• Coordinate with external maintenance providers and hardware vendors to schedule repairs and on-site technical interventions.
• Perform routine infrastructure walk-throughs, equipment validation, and preventive checks at operational sites.
• Receive, prioritize, and process operational requests and incidents through the service management platform.
• Track incidents end-to-end, ensuring permanent resolution, proper root-cause recording, and closure compliance.
• Contribute to service reports, operational documentation, and internal knowledge repositories.
• Assist in refining operational workflows, standard operating procedures, and team readiness initiatives.
• Support departmental activities and handle additional operational assignments as required.

Education
