Job summary

Farben Information Technology is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day stability, maintenance, and readiness of data center infrastructure in Malaysia. You will work on server hardware across Windows, Linux, and Unix, troubleshoot issues, and participate in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.

Experience in data centers is preferred, with Mandarin being helpful for client communication. Proficiency in English is required; willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; 1–2 years at technician level also considered.
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Ensure operational readiness of data center infrastructure, including routine inspections of servers and power systems.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
Diagnose and resolve server and storage-related issues.
Support physical infrastructure maintenance within the data center environment.
Respond to operational incidents and unexpected infrastructure failures.
