Job summary

Manpower Malaysia is seeking a skilled Facilities Management professional to provide general FM services, monitor facility operations, and collaborate with facilities managers on routine management tasks. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or operational engineering is required.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space.
• 3–4 years' experience in operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide general FM services including monitoring of facility and procurement of property supplies and services.
• Issue purchase orders, manage bid requests and service/construction contracts, and process accounts payable/receivable.
• Coordinate routine management operations with facilities managers and lead DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.
• Contract administration and reporting, and ensure safe working environment with compliance to HSE standards.
• Assist with maintenance scheduling, emergency planning, and energy management initiatives.

Job description

About the Role

Provide general overall FM services including continuous monitoring of facility. Work with facilities managers to handle routine management operations, including procurement of property supplies and services, issuing purchase orders, managing bid requests and service/construction contracts, and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Facility Management Team with tactical planning for the team's goals and objectives.
• Recommend continuous management initiatives and energy management plan, reviewing existing operations regularly to reduce cost and improve operational standards.
• Provide facility specific assistance to the project management team as needed or requested.
• Manage and maintain facility management tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate special events in support of client.
• Assist with the coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Schedule preventative maintenance, respond to urgent maintenance calls and participate in the creation of emergency preparedness plans.
• Contract administration and associated reporting.
• Ensure the site provision of safe working environment and compliance to HSE standards.
• Lead major DC activities during non-office hours where appropriate.

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelors’ Degree) in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline
• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space
• 3 -4 years' experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experiences and knowledge in M&E and building related systems, e.g. CRAC, chillers
• Competent in undertaking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)
• Critical environment experience within similar sized site or operation

Personal Attributes:

• Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff
• Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship and preparation of documentation
