Job summary

Oracle Malaysia is seeking an on-site Datacenter Services Operations expert to support OCI Hyperscale deployments in a mission-critical environment. You will serve as a CHS technical SME and field contact, ensuring deployments meet deadlines, SLAs, and quality standards.

You will oversee hardware maintenance, network configuration, and safety/compliance, mentor junior DCTs, and collaborate with engineering to improve procedures and reduce risk across the data center.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of networks, operating systems, and hardware.
• Understanding data center design including electrical and cooling plant operation.
• Experience with lifecycle management of servers and components is ideal.
• Ability to train peers and junior staff.
• Clear communication and documentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lifecycle management for servers and components; sets standards for diagnosis, replacement, and performance validation without impacting critical workloads.
• Coaches teams on power distribution practices and complex hardware interventions; ensures reliability, safety, and SLA objectives.
• Leads planning, risk assessment, and governance for large-scale network builds and migrations.
• Owns escalation queue, performs trend analysis, and documents resolutions within SLAs.
• Maintains SOPs/MOPs, audit readiness, and compliance with security controls.
• Mentors technicians and specialists; supports on-call and peak events; promotes cross-team collaboration.
• Drives planning & execution, collaboration, problem solving, and continuous improvement within the team.
