Job summary

Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Construction Manager to lead day-to-day construction oversight and management of contractors for new and existing data centers in Malaysia.

You will own project scope, timelines, and budgets, coordinating electrical and mechanical systems with engineers and suppliers. Join a diverse team within AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery, focusing on cost efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery while driving quality across complex MEP installations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants.

Responsibilities

• Project management and oversight of construction related activities for new builds or general capital projects in Malaysia.
• Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
• Review of constructability of electrical and mechanical system and building designs for new data centers or optimization of existing data centers.
• Creation of project scope and equipment requirements, assist with RFPs and capital requests.
• Total project quality includes commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
• Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
• Concurrently managing multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects.
• Operational support of installed facilities including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
