Job summary

Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead day-to-day construction oversight of state-of-the-art data centers in Malaysia.

You will manage contractors, coordinate design reviews, and ensure safety and quality from site feasibility through commissioning. The role requires Bachelor's in Engineering and 11+ years in mission-critical facilities, with strong stakeholder management and experience reading construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 11+ years of mission critical facilities experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
• 12+ years of work experience in design and construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction for new data centers and capital projects, including scope, timeline, and budgets.
• Drive costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
• Provide Construction Management for initiatives aimed at increasing data center resiliency.
• Review constructability of electrical and mechanical systems and building designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with RFPs and capital requests.
• Quality oversight including commissioning and integrated system testing; supervise project execution.
• Manage RFI processes during construction and coordinate with engineers.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Concurrently manage multiple projects including new data center builds and capital improvements.
• Provide operational support of installed facilities, reviewing procedures and maintenance initiatives.
