Job summary

GMRecruitment is seeking a senior project manager to lead MEP initiatives for data centres and mission-critical facilities. You will oversee projects from planning to handover, ensuring quality, cost control and on-time delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in data centre project management with strong MEP knowledge and hands-on delivery experience, and willingness to bases in Banting/Bukit Jalil/Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or related Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in project management for Data Centres or Mission-Critical Facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction project management.
• Hands-on experience from construction through testing, commissioning and handover.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to be based in Banting / Bukit Jalil / Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP projects from planning through completion.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget, and execution strategy.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress to ensure quality, cost, and timeline objectives are achieved.
• Manage construction activities, including installation, testing & commissioning, handover, and project closeout.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical solutions to support project delivery.
• Prepare project documentation, proposals, and procurement requirements.
