Job summary

Iron Mountain in Johor, Malaysia, seeks a strategic Senior Project Manager (Construction) to lead a multi-facility data center development program, including a critical high-voltage substation. You will be the on-site delivery lead, driving progress, navigating local regulations, and shaping our digital infrastructure footprint in Southeast Asia.

The role requires 8+ years in large-scale construction with data center experience, strong CPM/cost-tracking skills, and a PMP/BEM preference.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management in large-scale construction, with data center MEP/CSA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Malaysian/Singaporean construction ecosystems, local supply chains, contractor markets, labor dynamics.
• Technical mastery in project controls (CPM, earned value, cost tracking) and complex MEP/CSA systems.
• Experience coordinating utility grid connections or substation builds, ideally with direct TNB familiarity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP/BEM preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in English; regional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution for a large-scale data center program and dedicated utility substation.
• Direct and monitor a major General Contractor under a D&B Turnkey framework, track KPIs, enforce safety and quality.
• Oversee engagement with power authorities, track TNB connections to maintain schedule.
• Manage project financials, change orders, and governance adherence.
• Liaise with Johor councils and agencies for permits, inspections, and handovers.
