Job summary

Integrated Cold Chain Logistics Sdn. Bhd. (ICCL) seeks a Customs Clearance Officer to prepare, review, and submit import and export declarations, and coordinate clearance at the Bukit Kayu Hitam border.

You will verify documents, liaise with customs authorities, monitor clearance status, and support audits while maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory compliance. This on-site role offers opportunities to improve procedures and collaborate with customers, transporters, and forwarding

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit import and export Customs declarations.
• Coordinate Customs clearance and cargo release at Bukit Kayu Hitam Border.
• Verify Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, permits, and other supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with Customs officers and relevant authorities regarding declarations, inspections, approvals, and clearance issues.
• Ensure all required permits, licences, and regulatory approvals are obtained where applicable.
• Monitor shipment clearance status and ensure timely processing and release of cargo.
• Coordinate with customers, transporters, forwarding teams, and other service providers to facilitate smooth shipment operations.
• Resolve Customs declaration discrepancies, documentation issues, shipment holds, and other clearance-related matters.
• Maintain accurate records of Customs declarations, permits, approvals, and clearance documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Customs regulations, company SOPs, and relevant import and export requirements.
• Provide timely updates on clearance progress, pending documentation, and operational issues to the relevant parties.
• Support Customs audits, verification requests, and other regulatory requirements when necessary.
• Assist in improving Customs clearance procedures and operational efficiency.
• Perform other related Customs brokerage and forwarding duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description
