Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to manage customer quality complaints, perform root-cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvements across processes and products.

The role requires a degree in mechanical/production engineering (or diploma with 3+ years in quality), 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, and fluency in Mandarin and English. Knowledge of ISO standards and Six Sigma is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma with 3+ years in quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English.
• Strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality auditing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949, TQM, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customer Complaints & 8D Management: validate issues, containment within 1 day, 8D reports within 5 days, notify changes to customer and close.
• Quality Improvement: analyze complaint trends, participate in QBRs, drive improvements and manage major change notices.
• Line Authority: authorized to halt production lines to resolve critical quality issues.
• Quality Auditing: perform internal quality/process audits and resolve non-conformances with heads of departments.

Located at Senai, Johor. The Client is a global leader in high-performance interconnect solutions, designing and manufacturing advanced connectors, cable assemblies, and sensors across communications, automotive, and industrial sectors.

We are looking for Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to manage customer quality complaints, conducts root-cause analyses, implements corrective actions, and drives continuous process and product quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Complaints & 8D Management: Validate customer issues, provide containment plans within 1 working day, submit 8D reports within 5 working days, notify customer on all major changes to products / processesand follow up through to customer closure.
• Quality Improvement: Analyze complaint trends, participate in customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), recommend improvements, and manage major change notifications.
• Line Authority: Authorized to halt production lines to resolve critical quality issues.
• Quality Auditing: Perform internal quality and process audits, resolving all non-conformances with department heads.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or Diploma with 3+ years experience).
• 2–5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English.
• Strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality auditing.
• Preferred experiences inISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949, TQM implementation, Six Sigma Black Belt, and knowledge of stamping, molding, or plating processes.
• Trained in Six Sigma Black Belt will be an added advantage.
