Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking a kitchen staff to handle basic cooking methods and food preparation for daily operations in Malaysia. The role requires preparing fresh ingredients as per the menu and SOP, storing items properly, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

The position demands teamwork, ability to follow directions from the Head Chef, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Mandarin is an advantage, with Malay/English communication necessary.

Qualifications

• Requires basic cooking methods and food preparation knowledge.
• Ability to store and handle prepared food safely.
• Willingness to improve procedures based on feedback.
• Must work well in a team and follow head chef instructions.

Responsibilities

• Master basic cooking methods (cutting ingredients).
• Prepare fresh ingredients per menu/SOP for the station daily.
• Ensure proper storage of food prep and storage areas.
• Improve food prep methods based on feedback.
• Perform kitchen cleaning duties and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Operate all electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment safely.
• Undertake other duties from Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
• Be familiar with working in a team.
