Job summary

IDC Foods Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is offering an internship for students currently pursuing or recently graduated in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage Management. The program lasts 3–6 months (as required by university) with basic kitchen exposure and shift work.

You will learn under chefs, assist in food preparation, observe hygiene practices, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while developing teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage Management.
• Internship duration: 3–6 months (or according to university requirements)
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Familiar with basic knife skills and kitchen equipment.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Willing to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Willingness to learn and take instructions from chefs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work discipline.
• Able to stand for long hours.
• Able to handle hot kitchen environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain basic food hygiene standards and follow proper kitchen protocols.
• Work in assigned kitchen stations.
• Assists in the preparation of ingredients.
• Efficiently manage food production and operations during peak hours.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and taste as per company requirements.
