Job summary

Destination Asia Destination Management Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks qualified travel personnel with inbound experience to join our Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Borneo and Langkawi offices. You will coordinate groups, vehicles and suppliers to meet fixed cruise schedules and tight deadlines, with real accountability when plans slip.

Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia are required, Mandarin or other languages are an advantage.

About Us

Destination Asia operates across Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the wider ASEAN region. You'll work with international cruise brands on a growing Port Klang programme, with genuine ownership of your accounts.

What are we looking for~

We don't need extensive travel industry experience. If you've run airport ground handling, groups operations, terminal ops, logistics, hotel or banquet ops, or large events against a hard deadline, this is a role for you to get into! We'll teach you the rest.

What we need~

Solid working knowledge of Kuala Lumpur, the Klang Valley, Melaka and Putrajaya — enough to know what a realistic day looks like

Valid driving licence and able to be at Port Klang terminal on call days

Have worked in inbound tours, a DMC, cruise handling or travel consultancy — group bookings especially will be an added advantage.

What you'll bring~

Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field

Experience in inbound tour operations, DMC, cruise handling or travel consultancy; group (GIT) handling experience strongly preferred

Working knowledge of Peninsular Malaysia destinations — Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Melaka, Batu Caves and the Klang Valley shore excursion product

Familiarity with port operations, shore excursion planning and cruise documentation is an advantage

Proficiency in a travel operating system (Tourplan, Travel Studio or similar) and MS Office

Strong written and spoken English; Bahasa Malaysia required, Mandarin or other languages an advantage

Exposure to UK, US, European or Latin American source markets is highly desirable

Comfortable working to ship schedules, including early starts, weekends and public holidays on call days

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to Port Klang terminal as operations require
