About the role
Oceancare Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Crew Coordinator to join our team in Miri, Sarawak. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in supporting our operations through effective administrative coordination and crew management. The Crew Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication, scheduling, and logistical support for our crew members, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of our maritime and offshore operations. This role is based on-site in Miri, Sarawak.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate crew schedules, rotations, and deployment plans to ensure adequate staffing for all operational requirements
Maintain accurate records of crew documentation, including certifications, medical clearances, and compliance requirements
Communicate with crew members, management, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and resolve scheduling conflicts
Monitor crew welfare and ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and company policies
Assist in coordinating crew training, inductions, and onboarding processes for new team members
Handle enquiries and provide administrative support to crew members regarding employment matters and operational procedures
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
At least 1-3 years of experience in oil and gas industry, handling crew coordination, scheduling, operations, or administrative support.
Ensure all crew documents comply with company and client requirements.
Monitor crew availability, certifications, medical validity, and training records.
Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent operational changes.
