Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Bandar Sunway is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage self-pay receivables, monitor ageing, and ensure timely collections within credit terms.

You will generate SOA, reconcile accounts, report on collection performance to management, and handle client inquiries. Fresh graduates welcome; diploma/degree in accounting or finance preferred; Saturday half-day work during probation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business Administration, LCCI qualification or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply!
• Skills: Negotiation, analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, listening & communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle and administer accounts receivable for Self-pay accounts to avoid bad debts and ensure up-to-date collections.
• Monitor ageing, issue reminder letters and liaise with clients to ensure payment within credit terms.
• Generate the Statement of Account (SOA) and email to clients early of every month and assist in account reconciliation.
• Produce up-to-date reports on collection efforts rendered and present to management with analysis and recommendations.
• Determine and evaluate potential uncollectible, slow payer or difficult cases and provide updates to relevant parties.
• Address client enquiries, investigate and respond to insurance/TPA/MCO queries, prepare breakdown charges and procedure codes for hospital and consultants.
• Attend to enquiries, provide good customer service and ensure effective collection process in a professional manner.
• Understand clients' situation & provide financial advice accordingly.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned.
