Job summary

luluto is seeking a Country Manager for Malaysia (Founding Team) to own the Malaysia business end-to-end, including studios, team, clients, marketing and the monthly P&L; reporting to the Group's Director of Global. The role is hands-on in a small but growing market with full P&L accountability within 12-18 months.

You will go through luluto's instructor training and can teach sessions; no prior Pilates experience is required.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability, based in Kuala Lumpur.
• Fluent in English; Malay or Mandarin a plus.
• No Pilates experience required; luluto training provided.
• Strong analytical mindset with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Malaysia studios, teams, clients, bookings and SOPs.
• Own the monthly P&L and key metrics; drive improvements in trial-to-member conversion, cancellations, session volume and costs.
• Hire, train and lead instructors and studio staff; build the management layer as the business grows.
• Complete luluto's in-house instructor training and support teaching sessions when needed.
• Drive local marketing, partnerships and new studio openings; manage growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with HQ in Singapore and Japan on pricing, compensation and expansion strategy.

We are a multinational business headquartered in Singapore, with 100 studios in Japan and operations across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. Our ambition is global: to become the first choice in body transformation, market by market.

Malaysia is one of those markets, and we are hiring the person who will lead it. We currently run two studios in Kuala Lumpur. You will represent luluto in Malaysia, run the business day to day, and build it into a country business the group can grow on.

1. Lead a Business, Not a Department

You will own the Malaysia business end to end - studios, team, clients, marketing and the monthly P&L - reporting to the Group's Director of Global and sitting alongside the leaders of our other markets. It is a small business today, and the job is to make it a big one. Within 12-18 months the role carries full P&L accountability.

3. Learn the Product, Properly

You will go through luluto's in-house instructor training, developed by Japanese physiotherapists with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector, and you will be able to teach sessions yourself. No prior Pilates experience is required. Leading this business means understanding the product from the inside.

Key Responsibilities

Operations: Lead daily operations across our Malaysia studios - team, clients, bookings, suppliers and SOP standards.

Numbers: Own the monthly P&L and the key metrics - trial-to-member conversion, cancellation rate, session volume and costs - and keep working them until they move.

People: Hire, train and lead instructors and studio staff, and build the management layer as the business grows.

Instruction: Complete luluto's in-house instructor training so you can teach sessions, cover the schedule, and support your instructors on technique and client flow.

Growth: Drive local marketing, partnerships and new studio openings, plus the small things in between.

Group: Represent Malaysia with HQ in Singapore and Japan on pricing, compensation and expansion, and bring back what works in our other markets.

Management experience - running multiple outlets, branches or a P&L (any industry: retail, F&B, clinics, education, logistics, consulting or a startup)

Experience opening a new outlet
