Job summary

Weng Meng Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Costing & Analysis professional to join our team in Olak Lempit, Banting, Selangor. The role focuses on costing accuracy, variance analysis, and collaboration with procurement and production to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 3–5 years of costing experience within manufacturing. Strong Excel skills and cross-functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of working experience in manufacturing costing or cost accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare costing and update product costing (material, labour, overhead).
• Analyze actual vs standard costs and identify variances.
• Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and yield efficiency.
• Support pricing, quotation and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier pricing and cost comparisons.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvements with Production.
• Prepare costing reports for management review.
• Support inventory valuation and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure costing data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Prepare and update product costing, including material, labor, and manufacturing overhead.

Analyze actual production costs versus standard costs and identify variances.

Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and yield efficiency.

Support pricing, quotation, and profitability analysis.

Work closely with Procurement on supplier pricing and cost comparisons.

Assist Production in identifying cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.

Prepare costing reports for management review.

Support inventory valuation and month-end closing activities.

Ensure costing data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Management, or related field.

3–5 years of working experience in manufacturing costing or cost accounting.

Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience is an advantage.

Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
