Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to manage month-end costing and inventory close, ensure ERP BOM accuracy, and drive cost competitiveness. You will analyze COGS, monitor gross margin, and support annual budgeting and forecasting aligned with strategic profitability objectives.

Requirements include a accounting/finance degree, strong MS Excel, ERP proficiency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Prior costing or finance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting/finance.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Proficient in ERP system.
• Experience in costing or finance is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills, proactive and committed.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closing activities related to costing & inventory.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs setup in ERP system.
• Ensure costing accuracy and alignment with profitability objectives.
• Test COGS and analyze gross margin impact on cost revisions.
• Maintain standard costs of manufacturing components and finished goods in ERP.
• Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and provide costing documentation.
• Prepare sales & profitability management reports.
• Analyze cost variances and identify improvements.
• Support yearly budget and forecasts related to costing and raw materials consumption.

• Month-end closing activities related to costing & inventory.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs setup in ERP system.
• Ensure costing accuracy, competitiveness and align with business strategic & profitability objectives.
• Performing reasonable test on COGS (Cost Of Goods Sold) & analyze GM (Gross Margin) impact on cost revision.
• Conducting monthly cost revision activities and maintaining of accurate standard costs of manufacturing component and finished goods in ERP system.
• Review and update landed cost change from time to time.
• Conducting physical inventory count and monitoring cycle count program.
• Coordinating with auditors during financials audits and providing necessary costing documentation.
• Prepare sales & profitability management reports.
• Analyze cost variance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support yearly budget and forecast related to costing activities and raw material consumption report.
• Perform any ad hoc costing assignment as required by management.
