Job summary

CFM Technologies in Kulai, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Costing/Quotations professional to manage RFQ costing, pricing strategy, and supplier coordination in a metal fabrication environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop cost estimates, and support sales with precise quotations.

The role requires an Engineering Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong leadership and analytical skills, and the ability to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with minimum 3 years’ experience in metal fabrication or equivalent.

• Mandarin speaking candidate preferred to liaise with mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Complete a costing calculation (customer RFQ) within the time frame and coordinate RFQ costing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and overhead.
• Communicate with customers to understand their quotation and manufacturing needs.
• Develop pricing strategies balancing competitiveness with profitability.
• Assist on quotation process and provide timely, accurate quotations to support sales.
• Work with Engineering & Purchasing to source potential suppliers and issue RFQ to suppliers.
• Maintain quotation documentation for records.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and prospect for new opportunities.
• Prepare pre-sales and post-sales technical support to clients.
• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to ensure solutions meet customer specifications.

• Complete a costing calculation (customer RFQ) within the time frame. Coordinate and review RFQ costing to ensure pricings are competitive and profitable.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and overhead associated with projects or products.
• Communicate with customers to understand their quotation and manufacturing needs and fulfil those customer requirements.
• Understand and clarify customer documentation and RFQ in kick-off meeting. Develop and maintain pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Proactive to seek cost saving opportunity internally and externally.
• To assist on quotation process and provide quotation on time manner and accuracy and support sales personal to confirm sales.
• Work closely with team member (Engineering & Purchsing), source for potential supplier and send RFQ to supplier.
• Quotation documentation filing for record purpose.
• To perform other duties or tasks as assigned
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and actively prospect for new business opportunities.

Customer Relations

• Identify sales opportunities and develop new prospect customers
• Handle customer complaints and work closely with customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:
