Job summary

NEW SYSTEM METAL SDN BHD is seeking a Cost Engineer in Malaysia to assist customers in understanding product costs and their manufacturing impact. The role focuses on developing and maintaining cost estimates for new projects and analyzing design documents to determine cost implications.

The candidate will monitor changes in scope, adjust estimates, and report variances. Collaboration with the team to identify cost-saving opportunities and delivering clear cost-related presentations are key

Qualifications

• Assist customer to understand all products and cost impact to its manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain cost estimates for new potential projects.
• Analyze engineering design documents from customers for cost implications.
• Monitor and adjust cost estimates based on changes to project scope and revert back to customers.
• Compare actual costs with offered costs and prepare variance reports.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for cost savings.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of cost engineering processes and best practices.
• Develop and deliver presentations to communicate cost-related information.
• Prepare and review cost engineering reports.
