Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial role.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin helpful.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports including cost center analysis and variance reports.
• Monitor BOM cost, production costs, material usage variances, and overhead absorption.
• Reconcile supplier statements; coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and vendors.
• Assist month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and SOPs; identify improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and cost transparency.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including cost center analysis, variance reports, and manufacturing performance metrics, to support timely and informed operational decisions.

Monitor and analyze BOM cost, production costs, material usage variances, and overhead absorption to ensure accurate product costing, support pricing strategies, and assess profitability.

Monitor vendor aging reports, reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate closely with procurement, warehouse, and vendors to resolve issues promptly. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals, AP reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and related journal entries.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, cost transparency, and operational effectiveness within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements
