- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Cost simulation of new or existing product costing.
- Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and investigate cost deviations.
- Analyze production costs and finished goods valuation.
- Support product costing, new product launches (NPI), and cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze material and machine efficiency and yield.
- Analyze PPV and production variance.
Cost Reporting and Closing
- Support month-end closing in SAP, including cost-related journals and reconciliations.
- Prepare cost center reports, paper consumption report and production order variance report, PPV report.
- Preparation of annual budget, annual new standard cost, labor hour and activity rate calculation.
- Ensure US SOX compliance with company accounting policies.
Inventory Controls
- Preparation of inventory report. Monitor inventory movements, slow-moving and obsolete stock provisions.
- Participate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits.
- Maintain strong internal controls over costing and inventory processes.
- Support external and internal audits.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
- Provide financial insights to support cost reduction, make‑or‑buy, and process improvement / Kaizen initiatives.
- Support ERP costing modules (e.g., SAP, Blackline, CCB Changed Control Board).
Main Tasks
- The Cost Accountant manages product costing, cost control, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and month‑end reporting to provide accurate cost information that supports manufacturing operations and management decision-making.
Profile
- Diploma in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or related field or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA) are preferred or in progress.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with standard costing and variance analysis is highly valued.
- Exposure to MNC or factory-based operations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
