Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Malaysia is seeking a Cost Manager to support large-scale advanced manufacturing projects, open to CSA or MEP expertise. You will manage costs across the project lifecycle, ensuring strong commercial control, reporting, procurement, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of cost management or related experience.
• Experience in CSA works (structural/architectural/façade/building envelope) or MEP works (mechanical/electrical/plumbing/building services).
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, pharmaceutical, technology, or mission-critical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditure and track costs against approved budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
• Support procurement activities for CSA or MEP trade packages.
• Prepare tender documentation, cost breakdowns, and commercial assessments.
• Review tender submissions and provide recommendations.
• Participate in contractor negotiations and contract award activities.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, financial forecasts, and cash flow updates.
• Maintain commercial records and contract documentation.
• Provide commercial updates to project stakeholders and leadership teams.
