Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a NPI Supply Chain Cost Estimating Engineer to lead costing for new and legacy semiconductor automation products. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates, supporting quotes, and driving cost reductions across design and manufacturing teams.

The candidate will analyze data, apply cost methodologies, and mentor regions on costing processes, with opportunities for in-depth pricing discussions and supplier engagement. Hybrid work arrangement may apply.

Qualifications

5+ years of cost estimating experience.
Strong ability to read/interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs; understands GD&T.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Customer-focused, self-motivated, capable of multitasking with limited direction.

Responsibilities

Lead cost estimation for new and legacy products in design-to-cost process.
Develop and maintain data using cost methodologies; ensure reliable information.
Support supplier quotes and drive cost reductions to meet target costs.
Collaborate with design engineering to convert specifications to cost estimates.
Provide costing/pricing support and leadership to sites and regional teams.
Assist with DFx reviews and assess materials/supply chain impact.
