Job summary

Brooks Automation in Malaysia (Johor) is seeking an NPI Supply Chain Cost Estimating Engineer to lead cost estimation for new and legacy products in the semiconductor supply chain.

You will determine should-cost targets, develop data-driven cost models, and collaborate with design and procurement to drive cost improvements while ensuring quotes meet Brooks' targets. A BS/BA in engineering and 5+ years' cost estimating experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating.
• Experience with mechanical commodities and GD&T understanding.
• Proficient with cost methodologies and software modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Determine cost estimate targets during design and development to enable cost-effective solutions.
• Utilize cost methodologies, tools, and software models to prepare and maintain reliable data.
• Support supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotations and meet target costs.
• Lead costing procedures, train others, and provide pricing support across sites as required.
