Job summary

TKR Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Coring Engineer in Sabah, Malaysia to plan, prepare and supervise coring services ensuring representative formation samples are obtained safely and with required recovery and quality. You will review objectives, select the coring system and bottom-hole assembly, and provide rig-site engineering support.

You will maintain core handling records, resolve technical issues, and deliver accurate post-job reports with recommendations.

Qualifications

Education: Degree, Master's or PhD in Petroleum, Mechanical, Drilling, Geological or relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum five years directly relevant coring experience.
Language: English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Responsibilities

Review coring objectives and select coring system and BHA.
Plan, prepare and supervise coring operations on site to obtain representative samples.
Provide rig-site engineering support and monitor operational parameters.
Ensure core handling, preservation and documentation meet client requirements.
Prepare post-job reports and recommendations with accurate data.
Coordinate with driller, geologist and client representative throughout the run.
