Job summary

Gamuda Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Malaysia to lead coordination of federated BIM models across architectural, structural and MEP disciplines. You will run clash detection, maintain BIM standards, and support project teams with data exchange workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Architecture or Engineering and at least 2 years in BIM coordination or BIM management, with strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in BIM coordination/management across disciplines.
• Construction Industry knowledge across multiple disciplines and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day BIM processes for project coordination.
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders via BIM model as central tool.
• Coordinate federated models, run clash detection analyses, and resolve clashes.
• Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plan, standards, workflows, and data exchange protocols.
• Oversee information flow and ensure access to up-to-date data for all teams.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and VDR/VDC sessions to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with design and operation teams to proactively resolve BIM conflicts.
• Conduct quality checks and audits to meet project requirements and standards.
• Provide BIM training and support to team members.
• Comply with Quality, Safety & Health and Environment policies.

Qualification

• Construction Industry knowledge in multiple disciplines and significant experience in BIMcoordination or BIM management.

Responsibility

• To manage day to day BIM processes and activities for coordination of project.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders,including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, using the BIM model as a central communication tool.
• Involved heavily in the coordination of federated models from different disciplines, runningclash detection analyses, and managing the resolution of identified clashes
• Ensure that the project team adheres to the established BIM Execution Plan, includingstandards, workflows, and data exchange protocols.
• Oversee the flow of information and data exchange between different teams, ensuringthatall stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date and accurate information.
• Involved actively in BIM Coordination meetings, VDR/VDC Sessions to discuss modelprogress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment among team members.
• Work closely with design and operation teams, proactively identify and help resolvecoordination issues and potential conflicts within the BIM models before they impact construction.
• Perform regular quality checks and audits on the BIM models to ensure they meet projectrequirements and industry standards.
• Support BIM Documentation and BIM Compliance efforts.
• Provide project-specific BIM training and support to team members to ensure effective useof BIM processes and tools for coordination.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environmentrelated to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
