Job summary

Gamuda Berhad is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead collaboration and clash detection across design and construction, ensuring alignment with resources, timelines, standards, and client requirements.

You will manage BIM deliverables and drawings, provide BIM/CAD software support, coordinate across disciplines, drive 3D/4D/5D BIM, and liaise with vendors to maintain model integrity in a fast‑paced project environment.

Strong Revit and Navisworks skills and ISO19650 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of BIM concepts and ISO19650.
• Advanced BIM software skills in Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience deploying and managing BIM model authoring software.

Job Summary

Coordinates and leads BIM collaboration and clash detection initiatives during design and construction in a project according to the overall resources, timelines, and standards, in conjunction with the client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BIM deliverables and drawing production.
• Reviews and implements information sharing protocols.
• Provide technical orientation and software support for BIM & CAD software.
• Responsible for managing the overall project modelling strategies and BIM output through all delivery stages of the project.
• Responsible for organizing and directing the coordination across disciplines.
• Manage clash detection and VDR/VDC sessions.
• Check and validate drawings/models output.
• Liaison with software vendors and cloud service provides.
• Implement BIM 3D, 4D and 5D across the projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the company
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of BIM concepts and standards (ISO19650).
• Advanced BIM software skills in Revit and Navisworks.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in deploying and managing BIM model authoring software.

Skills & Abilities

• Assist in authoring and maintaining the technical sections of the BEP, model management and data management plans.
• Coordinate with BIM Manager, other coordinators, and other project BIM stakeholders.
• Develops project file organization and modeling strategy in conjunction with the BIM Manager.
• Creates a common federated model that aggregates information from all disciplines from the BIM uses.
• Oversee data flow to ensure it complies with the data management strategy.
• Participate and contribute in design and coordination meetings.
• Assembles and maintains any multidisciplinary project models that are used to create the BIM delivery.
• Creates project delivery output, including drawings from models compliant with the government and the appointing party's guidelines.
• Performs coordination and clash detection processes in an effective manner.
• Check and validate model content with respect to the scope of work.
• Track and manage changes requested by the technical team, considering all required status parameters, and organization of model by work zones and locations.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of Revit software use to ensure the integrity of the BIM model.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

• Construction industry knowledge in multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of advanced VDR/VDC methods.
• In depth knowledge of BIM coordination processes
