Job summary

Infinity 8 is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join our growing legal team in Molek or Kempas, Johor Bahru. The role requires handling conveyancing matters from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail and strong client relations.

The ideal candidate will have an LL.B, a valid Malaysian practising certificate, and relevant conveyancing experience. Newly called lawyers with interest in conveyancing may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a valid Malaysian practising certificate.
• Conveyancing experience preferred.
• Strong drafting and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle conveyancing matters from commencement to completion.

Job description

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join our growing legal team in Molek or Kempas Johor Bahru.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in conveyancing matters, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage files independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and manage conveyancing matters from commencement to completion.
• Draft, review, and advise on Sale and Purchase Agreements, loan/security documentation, and other related legal documents.
• Attend to sub-sale, project, bank loan, refinancing, discharge, perfection of transfer/charge, and other conveyancing transactions.
• Liaise with clients, banks, developers, agents, government authorities, and other relevant parties.
• Conduct necessary searches and due diligence relating to conveyancing transactions.
• Monitor and follow up on transaction timelines, documentation, payments, and completion requirements.
• Ensure all files are handled accurately and efficiently in accordance with applicable laws and firm procedures.
• Provide legal advice to clients on conveyancing-related matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all assigned files.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a valid Malaysian practising certificate.
• Relevant experience in conveyancing is preferred.
• Candidates with 1-5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian conveyancing procedures and related documentation.
• Able to handle files independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong drafting, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with good time-management skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Newly called lawyers with a strong interest in conveyancing may also be considered.
