Job summary

Peoplelake Resources Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is expanding its conveyancing team, focusing on banking, subsale and commercial transactions. The firm seeks diligent lawyers who can manage files from inception to completion.

You will draft and review Sale & Purchase agreements, liaise with banks, developers and clients, and contribute to a professional, deadline-driven environment. Malaysian qualified with valid Practising Certificate and 1–3 years PQE encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be a Malaysian qualified lawyer with a valid Practising Certificate.
• Strong drafting, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin reading ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist and handle conveyancing matters from inception to completion.
• Handle subsale transactions and banking/loan documentation.
• Draft, review and attend to Sale & Purchase Agreements, loan documentation and related correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, banks, developers, agents and relevant authorities.
• Attend to client enquiries and provide timely updates on file progress.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely completion of files.
• Maintain proper file management and documentation.
• Work closely with conveyancing clerks and other team members.
• Undertake other conveyancing-related matters and assignments as required.

Our client, a well-established legal practice with a strong focus on conveyancing, banking and commercial transactions, is expanding its team and looking for suitable candidates to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and handle conveyancing matters from inception to completion
• Handle subsale transactions and banking/loan documentation
• Draft, review and attend to Sale & Purchase Agreements, loan documentation and related correspondence
• Liaise with clients, banks, developers, agents and relevant authorities
• Attend to client enquiries and provide timely updates on file progress
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely completion of files
• Maintain proper file management and documentation

Requirements:

• Malaysian qualified lawyer with a valid Practising Certificate
• 1–3 years PQE, preferably with experience in conveyancing
• Practical experience in subsale and/or banking documentation will be an advantage
• Good understanding of conveyancing procedures and documentation
• Able to handle files with reasonable independence while working closely with the supervising partner/lawyer
• Good drafting, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to liaise professionally with clients, bankers, developers, agents and relevant authorities
• Ability to read and write Mandarin would be an advantage
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Responsible, meticulous, organised and able to work under deadlines
• Positive attitude with a genuine interest in developing a career in conveyancing
