Job Description
Contract Negotiation & Administration
- Negotiate vendor terms and conditions to safeguard Masdar’s contractual interests.
- Draft and execute contracts in line with agreed terms and conditions.
- Support end users and project teams with day-to-day contract administration and management.
- Manage variations, contractor claims, disputes, and other contractual matters.
- Draft and issue contractual notices and correspondence.
- Maintain contractual registers and project records.
Contract Monitoring, Payments & Close-Out
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and standards.
- Monitor contract implementation and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Review, analyze, and administer contract variations in accordance with approved scope.
- Ensure project payment processes and approval recommendations are accurate and compliant with governance requirements.
- Manage contract close-out and completion processes.
- Review and facilitate approval of Completion Certificates.
Documentation & Records Management
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive contract records and correspondence.
- Maintain proper tracking and filing of relevant documentation.
- Ensure retention letters, bonds, guarantees, and Completion Certificates comply with end-user requirements and company policies.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure service providers deliver quality and timely services in accordance with SLAs.
- Lead key negotiations with internal and external stakeholders when required.
- Establish agreements that protect Masdar’s commercial and contractual interests.
Policies, Systems & Process Improvement
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract management policies, procedures, systems, and processes.
- Ensure processes comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Support implementation of standardized processes and tools.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and timely reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles, standards, and shareholder requirements.
- Apply standardized approaches, forms, policies, and procedures.
Information Security & Compliance
- Comply with information security policies and procedures.
- Protect company assets, confidential information, systems, credentials, and equipment.
- Report security incidents and suspected security weaknesses.
- Ensure company equipment and software are used in accordance with company policies.
QHSE
- Support Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) activities and objectives.
- Participate in QHSE audits, inductions, incident reporting, and performance reviews when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in project locations.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
Experience: 6–8 years in contract management/administration, preferably within construction, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, or renewable energy.
Key Expertise: Contract negotiation, drafting, administration, claims, variations, payment management, contract close-out, contract law, commercial governance, and stakeholder management.
Key Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple contracts, work under pressure, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
