Career Horizons is seeking a Contract Manager / Commercial Manager in Selangor, Malaysia, with 5–8 years of relevant experience from developers, main contractors or consultants. The role emphasizes strong contract and commercial management, with leadership responsibilities and exposure to large-scale projects.

Experience in PAM/CIPAA contracts and in handling claims, disputes, negotiation and debt recovery is advantageous.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Legal Studies or relevant Engineering discipline.
5–8 years of relevant experience.
Experience with a developer, main contractor or consultant.
Strong contract management and commercial management experience.
At least 3 years in a managerial/team-lead capacity is preferred.
Experience handling large-scale projects, ideally >RM100 million.

Responsibilities

Pre- and post-contract management
Reviewing and negotiating contract terms & conditions
Commercial and contractual risk management
Supporting Sales and Tender teams during contract negotiations
Managing claims, variations and final accounts
Dispute resolution, including legal/arbitration matters
Debt recovery and collections, including CIPAA/PAM-related matters
Liaising with external legal counsel
Managing contract documentation and ERP records
Leading and coaching the Commercial / Contract Team
Monitoring commercial performance and compliance
Working closely with Sales, Project, QS, Legal, Finance, Consultants, Contractors and Clients
