Job summary

Ditrolic Energy is seeking an experienced contract administrator to support its renewable energy EPC projects in Malaysia. The role focuses on reviewing and managing EPC and subcontract contracts, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial terms, and tracking milestones and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years in contract administration within construction or solar PV, with familiarity in FIDIC contracts and claims management.

Qualifications

  • 3–8 years of contract administration experience in construction or solar PV projects.
  • Experience in EPC environments (industrial, infra).
  • Familiarity with EPC contracts, FIDIC Red/Yellow/Silver Book, and subcontract agreements.
  • Experience handling claims, variations, and project commercial management.

Responsibilities

  • Contract administration: review, interpret, and administer EPC, subcontract, and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specs, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, and deadlines; maintain records.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration
  • Review, interpret, and administer EPC, subcontract, and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor key milestones, deliverables, and contractual deadlines.
  • Maintain contract documentation and correspondence records.
  • Assist in reviewing tender documents, specifications, and commercial terms.
  • Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support bid clarifications and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Evaluate bank guarantee (BG), performance bond, and insurance requirements.
  • Claims & Variations Management
  • Manage variation orders, change requests, and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
  • Prepare and assess claims related to delay, disruption, liquidated damages, and backcharges.
  • Liaise with project teams to gather supporting documentation for claims.
  • Participate in dispute resolution processes when required.
  • Commercial & Cost Control
  • Monitor project cost exposure and contractual entitlements.
  • Review progress payment applications and certification.
  • Assess subcontractor invoices and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Support recovery of liquidated damages and enforcement of contract provisions where necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Required Skills
  • 3–8 years of experience in contract administration within:
  • Construction / Solar PV projects (utility-scale or commercial & industrial)
  • Industrial, infrastructure, or EPC environments
  • Familiarity with EPC contracts, FIDIC (Red/Yellow/Silver Book), and subcontract agreements.
  • Experience in handling claims, variations, and project commercial management
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of solar project components (modules, inverters, transformers, SCADA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of performance guarantees, LD clauses, bank guarantees, and insurance requirements.
  • Proficiency in contract law principles and dispute resolution processes.
