Job summary

Versatile Materials Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to assist tendering, cost control and final accounts for cabinetry projects. The role involves preparing tender documents, progress claims and payment certificates, while maintaining precise project records.

You will collaborate with clients and subcontractors, requiring strong English and Mandarin communication. Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–5 years of experience are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Sound knowledge of Quantity Surveying functions.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tendering of new projects and gather information to complete tender documents.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and monitor until certificate issuance.
• Prepare and issue Letters of Award for Sub-Contract works.
• Prepare payment certificates to sub-contractors and follow up on invoices.
• Monitor and review payment certificates, variations and cost estimates.
• Attend site meetings and tender interviews when required.
• Maintain records of progress claims, payment certificates, site memos and related documents.
• Prepare and finalize the project accounts.

Job description

Assist in tendering of new projects to prepare and getting the necessary information to complete comply the tender document requirements.

To prepare the monthly progress claims to main-cond, and follow until cert issuance.

Prepare and issue Letter of Award for Sub-Contract works

To prepare payment cert to sub-cond, and follow up until receive of invoice.

Monitor and review payment certificates, variation orders and cost estimate.

Attend and participate in site meeting and tender interviews when require

Monitor project cost, valuation for payment / variation orders.

To keep record / filling all progress claim, sub-cond payment cert, site memo, SI, DNF, correspondence and any other doc related to project.

To prepare and complete of final account.

Knowledge of preparing tender documents.

To prepare quotation when require and follow up on confirmation.

To undertake any new task assigned from time to time

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying

3 to 5 years working experience in related field.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

Sound knowledge in Quantity Surveying functions

Computer literate (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
