Job summary

Great Eastern Life Malaysia is recruiting for a Contract Associate in the Minor Alteration-Payment track. The role focuses on processing policyholder applications within set authority, while maintaining regulatory compliance and controlling risk.

You will support the supervisor, undertake assigned tasks, and perform related responsibilities to help achieve targets. Ideal candidates hold a business-related degree, prefer insurance/finance majors, and may have LOMA/ACII/FLI qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in business.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Life underwriting knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Process policyholder applications within authority.
• Carry out duties assigned by supervisor to meet targets.
• Consider regulatory compliance risks and mitigate them.
• Identify and share best risk management practices.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.

The Role:

• Processing policyholder's application within authority / access given.
• To process and carry out duty and task assigned by supervisor to ensure achieving the set targeted
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
  • Other responsibilities entailed

The Person:

• Possess either Degree in Business Administrative, Finance, or any related field(s)
• Majoring in Insurance or Finance would be added advantage.
• Professional qualifications i.e. LOMA AMII/ACII, FLI.
• Fresh Graduate or minimum 1-2 years working experience in business.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Words & PowerPoint).
• Technical knowledge of Life Underwriting.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
