Job summary

unicore build sdn. bhd is seeking a Warehouse/Materials Controller to manage day-to-day warehouse operations for construction projects in Shah Alam. You will oversee receiving, storage, and issuing of materials, maintaining accurate records and coordinating with project teams.

The role requires 2–3 years in warehouse management, familiarity with construction materials, and proficiency in Excel. Compliance with safety procedures and willingness to work on overseas project sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Experience working in a construction project warehouse is an advantage.
• Familiar with construction materials, MEP materials and/or waterproofing materials.
• Able to maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with project teams.
• Responsible, honest, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work at overseas project sites and follow project working schedules.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety and material handling procedures is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, equipment, tools and consumables delivered to the project site and check quantity, specifications, model and condition against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and related documents
• Report any shortage, damage, incorrect items or quality issues to the relevant person in charge
• Issue materials, tools and equipment to project teams based on approved material requests and ensure proper authorization before issuing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and conduct regular physical stock counts
• Monitor stock levels and identify materials that are low in stock or approaching minimum stock levels
• Prepare regular inventory reports and submit them to the Project Manager or Project Management Team
• Maintain records of project tools, equipment and machinery and monitor their condition
• Receive unused or excess materials returned from project sites and record material transfers between warehouse, site and different project teams
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, MEP team, Waterproofing team, Procurement and other relevant departments regarding material requirements
• Ensure warehouse materials are stored safely and follow project safety rules and warehouse safety procedures
