Job summary

SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD - KOTA KINABALU is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, and safety standards. You will monitor structural, architectural and M&E works, inspect workmanship, and manage subcontractors and site staff on a high-rise project.

The role requires coordinating with project team and consultants, attending progress meetings, and delivering weekly progress reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management or any related qualification.
• Preferably 5 years in high-rise construction project.
• Experience coordinating consultants and multiple trades.
• Preferably to speak in Chinese, Malay and English in professional settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work follows drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor structural, architectural and M&E works; inspect workmanship and construction quality.
• Ensure subcontractors and workers perform according to schedule; monitor progress and report delays.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineer, Site Supervisor, Subcontractors, Consultants and suppliers; attend site coordination and progress meetings.
• Resolve site problems, drawing discrepancies and construction issues; coordinate manpower, materials and equipment requirements.
• Prepare weekly site progress reports and ensure work is completed according to the construction schedule.
• Ensure construction works meet project specifications and quality standards; follow up on defects and rectification works.
• Coordinate with Safety Health Officer to monitor site safety requirements.
• Monitor site instructions and construction drawings.
