Job summary

KUS Building Supplies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop new business opportunities in the construction and building materials sector. You will deliver technical product solutions, prepare quotations, and build strong relationships with contractors and developers while aiming to meet monthly and annual sales targets.

The role requires a degree or diploma in a construction-related field, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Degree or Diploma in construction related technical field.
• Relevant sales experience in the construction or building materials industry is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand product applications and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Independent, self-motivated, results-driven and willing to learn.
• Able to provide both technical support and commercial solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities within the construction or building materials industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers and key customers.
• Understand customers' technical requirements and recommend suitable product solutions.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, pricing and commercial terms.
• Provide technical advice on product applications, specifications and installation requirements.
• Review technical requirements when preparing project proposals.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Monitor sales pipelines, market trends, competitors and payment collections.
• Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, product expansion feasibility and market growth recommendations.
