Job summary

Gamuda Berhad is seeking a Quantity Surveyor - Contracts & Commercial to manage all costs and financial aspects of construction projects from feasibility to final account. You will prepare detailed estimates, analyze quantities, and support tendering with comprehensive cost breakdowns.

The role requires strong Excel and cost- Estimation software skills (CostX, Candy, CCS), with an eye for value optimization and financial risk mitigation. Fresh graduates welcomed. On-site Malaysia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional certification (RICS, CIOB, or local QS body) is a plus.
Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and project lifecycle.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and advanced Excel for modeling.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil/construction projects at various stages.
Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
Participate in value engineering and cost-control processes.
Monitor ETC/EAC and forecast costs; flag overruns or savings.
