Job summary

Modular Group Sabah Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost, contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects from tender stage through to completion. You will prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates, assist tender preparation, manage contracts, progress claims and budgets, and evaluate variations.

Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, contractors and consultants, review commercial documents, and conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 2 years' experience minimum, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of measurement, costing, tendering and contract administration.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in documentation.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and claims.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and Bills of Quantities.
• Assist in tender preparation and quotation evaluation.
• Manage contractual and commercial matters.
• Prepare and verify progress claims and subcontractor claims.
• Monitor project costs and budgets.
• Evaluate variation orders and assist with final accounts.
• Review contracts and other commercial documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities.
