Job summary

DCN Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking a Building Quantity Surveyor to manage cost and contractual aspects of building construction and interior works, ensuring accurate cost planning, procurement, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a degree in QS or related field, 3–5 years' experience, knowledge of PAM/JKR/FIDIC contracts, proficiency in Glodon and MS Office, and strong analytical and negotiation skills to deliver on time and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in building construction and fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of PAM, JKR, FIDIC contracts and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in Glodon cost estimation software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, BOQs, and budgets for building and works
• Manage tender processes, evaluate contractor bids, and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Draft, review, and administer contracts; monitor compliance with terms and conditions
• Assess contractor claims, certify interim payments, and track project financial progress
• Evaluate variations, negotiate adjustments, and maintain updated cost records
• Identify cost risks, propose mitigation strategies, and recommend value engineering options
• Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to align cost control with project objectives
• Prepare and settle final accounts, ensuring transparency and accuracy
