Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a highly organized Purchaser to manage sourcing, procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely deliveries and cost optimization. This role reports to the Purchasing Manager and requires 2–5 years of purchasing experience with a relevant diploma or degree.

You will source reliable suppliers, issue RFQs, negotiate favorable terms, generate POs, coordinate deliveries, verify invoices, and maintain supplier databases to support site

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of purchasing or material sourcing experience in construction, engineering, or hardware trading.
• Sharp negotiation skills, strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source reliable suppliers, issue RFQs, and compile price comparisons for management review.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• Generate and issue Purchase Orders using internal systems with clear terms.
• Coordinate delivery timelines with site supervisors and project managers ensuring on-site arrivals.
• Verify DOs and invoices against POs to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor database based on performance and price.
