Job summary

Astinas Construction & Development Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time role supports the successful delivery of our construction projects by coordinating activities and ensuring clear communication among site teams, suppliers, and management.

You will help maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while contributing to the overall success of our portfolio of construction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a project coordination or administrative role within the construction industry.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction processes, terminology and standard practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activities and liaise between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and management.
• Maintain and update project schedules, timelines and progress reports to track project milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts, correspondence, drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, assisting with cost tracking and reporting to ensure financial compliance.
• Arrange site meetings and prepare meeting minutes, action items and follow-up communications.
• Assist in quality assurance and control activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Support the project manager in administrative tasks and provide coordination support for project procurement activities.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation systems for easy access and reference.
• Assist in identifying and resolving project issues and conflicts promptly to minimise delays.
• Support health, safety and environmental compliance on project sites.
