Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Malaysia to oversee projects from conception to completion, schedule deliverables, and estimate costs.

You will supervise on-site and off-site construction, ensure CIDB and safety compliance, and coordinate workers and subcontractors. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management or Architecture.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project/construction management with highrise/factory exposure.
• Proficient in MS Office; Project, PowerPoint & AutoCAD.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia; knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English for client communications.

• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor CIDB and safety compliance.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on daily basis.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Requirements

Candidates must be fluent in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Construction, Construction Management or Architecture or any equivalent related field.

Minimum of 6 years of working experience in project/construction management with exposure in building of highrise / factory.

Computer literate with Microsoft Office; Project, Power Point & Auto CAD.

Willing to travel within Malaysia.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
